The Storm
The Storm
Things were nice and peaceful, everything went my way.
The waves were smooth and rolling in my beautiful peaceful bay.
Then one day it happened! The storm came raging in.
The wind blew hard, the waves rose high, the thunder’s roar began.
Lightening flashed, the rain poured down, the storm grew even worse.
My ship was tossed from side to side, no matter what I cursed.
I tried to fight the storm myself but it was to much for me!
My ship and I were tossed about in that great fierce stormy sea!
I began to cry, I started to pray. I didn’t know what to do.
Oh Lord my God, please help me now, it’s all left up to you!
Then all of a sudden the storm was gone. The sea was quiet again.
The sun was bright, no stormy nights, because…because my Savior stepped in.
He calmed the sea, He stopped the wind, He took the rain away.
What kind of Savior is He, that even wind and rain obey?
If He can do this my brother, if He can command the sea,
He can take care of every problem faced by you and me.
Why can’t we learn from Jesus, the things He taught so well?
The love, the peace and contentment and the word of God He tells.
Give Him everything my brother, He’ll give you back so much more.
He knows your every need and desire, and what you’re searching for.
To calm that storm inside you, all you have to do,
Is bend your knees and bow your head, and pray, “Lord, I need you.”
